Fall Friendship Swap via Vignettes

In September a clever idea caught my eye on a blog that I read often. Kristin from Vignettes created a fall friendship swap to celebrate the season. Everyone interested in participating signed up and was paired with another blogger friend. Then you mail a package full of fall surprises to your new friend and in return, you get one too! Of course, I added my name right away! Getting a real piece of mail? Yes! Receiving a box of fall goodness? Yes! Making a new friend? Yes! I love shopping online, so usually there isn't a month that goes by that I don't get some kind of package. But this is different. It's a surprise when it comes, what's inside, and which new fall decorations I'll add to my collection. This idea is genius! So I marked my calendar for October 1 and started searching for items for my fall package.

It took a few weeks, but I sent my box on its way to Jennifer in North Carolina. I had gone from store to store searching for creative ideas and finally pulled it all together on the very last day. I was so excited about making it cute and fun for her, that I forgot about the surprise that was in store for me! So when I got home from work last Monday, there was a package waiting from me on my pumpkin on the front porch! I had planned to make dinner with hubby-to-be as soon as I got home, but it had to wait until I looked through my new fall gifts! I was so excited to open it up that I forgot to get many pictures! Inside I found a Yankee Candle pumpkin spice car air freshner (was on my shopping list), gray nailpolish, a Yankee Candle autumn wreath votive, Burt's Bees chapstick, a glass acorn decoration, local jam from North Carolina, fall teas and hot chocolate mixes, a autumn bathroom hand towel, and a homemade fall recipe book. She even printed the recipes on fall colored pages! I haven't made anything yet but I have my eye on the apple dumplings first! Thank you Jennifer!

I don't know if Kristin does a Christmas Friendship Swap too, but if so, I'm in!

First, you are from philly? I am originally from Lancaster county PA! Second, I love the jam in there - so lucky, that is one of my favorite gifts ever :) Love this swap!

I don't think there is anything more fall-ish than jam! This swap has been so much fun. I would totally do it again.
