Christmas in the City Part III

Merry Christmas Eve! I wished bf a Merry Christmas this morning and he laughed at my silly comment,  reminding me it was only Christmas Eve. I could see him thinking, "sillly girl". But I explained to him that Christmas Eve is almost as exciting as Christmas Day for me. For as long as I can remember, my family has had a Christmas Eve Party for our friends and family. We go to church to enjoy the candlelit version of Silent Night and then rush back home to light up the house with Christmas cheer. Most of the same friends have come to our party for years, so its a tradition in their families too. I remember being so excited about the party and the visit from Santa shortly after it ended. All the kids would talk about what we wished for, look for Santa out of the bedroom windows, and sing Christmas carols around our piano. I know, real storybook stuff. But now you can find us catching up on life, celebrating new homes, engagements, and graduations. Hopefully soon we'll be celebrating marriages and babies, I'm ready for the next generation to join our party. I will add some pictures of our annual celebration tomorrow, but for now, here are more memories of my first Christmas in Philly.

Bf and I took a stroll through Rittenhouse Square to look at the Christmas display, while sipping Christmas in a cup (Gingerbread lattes).
I finally finished decorating my place. Since I'm hosting my family for Christmas dinner this year, and they are willing to drive to Philly for this, I wanted it to be extra special.

Please take a minute to enjoy my lovely sisters' Christmas entertainment

Merry Christmas! I hope Santa is good to you tonight! As for me, I already have everything I wished for this year.
