An Easter post is a little delayed but please forgive me, I misplaced my camera for a few weeks. To nobody's surprise, every holiday in our house is celebrated like Christmas. The Easter Bunny hops along our creek to hide his eggs, doggies get Easter ribbons, baskets are decorated and stuffed full of goodies, and ham & mashed potatoes are enjoyed by all (ok, almost all). Riley and I traveled home for a little spring celebrating and this is what we found.
The night before our family gathered for a pre holiday dinner. Dad sat down to organize his eggs for the big hunt. He looks forward to this day all year, I'm actually surprised we don't hear about it more. I keep talking about how we need some kids in our house so the "big kids" don't have to do the hunt anymore. Big Sis jokes about how grandchildren aren't allowed to participate until they're old to run. My sisters are just a little competitive. Don't worry girls, I won't mention who won or who was a sore loser!
Bf joined us the night before because he was with his own family the next day. We kicked him out early because we had to rest up for the big hunt the next morning!

Like I've said before my mother makes every holiday amazing. My sisters and I decided to make our parents Easter baskets a few years ago (I guess around the same time we became adults with real jobs but still got lavish baskets from the Easter bunny). So now everyone has something fun to look through, but our baskets can never compare to my Mom's. She makes it special all the way from the bow to every little bunny shaped candy buried deep inside.
