A Christmas Tour

I should be sleeping but I couldn't end this last weekend before Christmas without a quick blog post. As I sit here enjoying my tree and fireplace, I realize that I haven't posted any pictures of my apartment this season. As you know, decorating is among of my most favorite things to do and I really got into it this year.
Even though our Christmas party already came and went, I have continued to place things here and there, hoping to have more guests before the holidays are over. Here is a quick tour of my setup this year.
Bf has his very own stocking to hang next to mine and Riley's.
Bf and I bought this decal on Etsy. Now, if I could only figure out how to preserve it for next year...
My Christmas movie collection is a little extensive, but I love having them on while I'm doing things around the apartment!

I broke down and bought a beautiful duvet from PB, I love bringing Christmas into my bedroom.
Leftover tree branches, holly, and garland stuffed into a planter on the balcony.
Friday night was Bf's work holiday party. Since he's a teacher they started early, and I met up with them when I could break away from work. It took place at a cute bar in downtown West Chester, a beautifully decorated city. I always love the company of Bf's coworkers and their significant others, so it was another great night! We played fun music, laughed a lot, and ate a delicious dinner of pizza steaks. Yum!
Our outfits totally clashed, thanks to my orange shirt, but we had fun anyway!
Cors and J didn't realize how much they were going to match at the end of their work days! Bill was told by students that he looked like a Jcrew model that day. Then he confessed to us that nothing he had on was from Jcrew and found it funny that kids thought he spent much more $ than he really did! Who says brand name is better?
I caught Umile off guard, but he wins the award for coordinating the best holiday outfit!
Then Saturday was spent with Mom and Little Sis in Rittenhouse. And now I am officially done shopping! I love thinking of what to buy for people and getting out there on the busy city streets, but I am happy to be done this year. Besides finishing my shopping, I had a nice day with (part of) my family. We bundled up in our red scarfs and walked to the other side of town (well, almost) to check off our lists. At five o'clock we were so tired from carrying all of our packages back to my place, that we collapsed as soon as we walked through the door. But exhaustion couldn't wipe the smiles from our faces :)
A small band assembled on Walnut and 18th to play Christmas tunes.
Mom really enjoyed their festive talents!
We rewarded ourselves with a break at Miel Patisserie for coffee and dessert!

What kinds of festive things were you up to this weekend?
