Since Bf is a high school teacher, he decided he would find a relaxed summer job for his time off this year. He's worked in the city in the past as a park ranger in the city's historic district. He loves talking about how he got to wear the cool hat and still has it. He's cute, isn't he? Anyway, one day he decided to research the double decker bus tours given around the city, so he emailed the director, and scored an interview. Of course, he was offered the job as long as he can pass the test (giving a tour for his boss and a bus full of paying tourists). In preparation for this test he was invited to take as many guided tours as he needed to feel comfortable. The awesome girlfriend that I am, I have already accompanied him on two of these tours (not counting the one I went on myself when I moved here last summer). However, I have enjoyed each of them and learned new things about the city every time. You can also get on and off the tour (21 stops) however many times you want, which makes it a great way to tour the city both guided and unguided. Here are some pics from our latest trip around the city.

| Betsy Ross House is the first stop on the tour |
| William Penn is at the top of City Hall and apparently this statue is 37 feet tall! |
| We got off at Love Park since I'd never been there. I also spotted the cupcake truck from the top of the bus so it was a necessary stop. Cupcake blog coming soon! |
| The Rocky Statue holds a special place in my heart <3 |
| Coming around the corner of City Hall onto Broad Street |
| Hopefully bf's audience won't look as bored as these guys do |
| The tour guides always talks about songs that reference South Street...do you know which ones? |
So if you find yourself on the
Philly Trolley Works Tour this summer, look for bf and tell him you heard about it here! He'll be the cute and confident guy at the microphone :)
