Little Sis' birthday celebration in the city started on a warm and sunny Saturday. I worked for a few hours in the morning and picked up some last minute groceries and bouquets at Trader Joe's before driving back to the city to get ready for the big night! Lil Sis got to my apartment early so she decided to help me prepare for her party rather than have some fun, which was greatly appreciated because she's much better in the kitchen than I am! The nicest part about having this time together was being able to catch up before everyone else got there. As we chatted, we threw flowers in vases, wrapped weiners in puff pastry, breaded shrimp, decorated cupcakes, and chopped fruit and veggies. It would have been a bit of a rush for me between working and shopping so the extra set of hands made this hostess a lot less stressed. Then bf came over so we all put on our purple outfits, and left for a sushi dinner with Z and her new man.
Because I had been cooking all afternoon and feeling anxious about getting the party started, I had next to no appetite but everyone else seemed to enjoy dinner at Fat Salmon. Z showered Lil Sis with tons of awesome gifts that she had hauled eight blocks from her hotel (including some very delicious and sinful cupcakes that we enjoyed the next morning and afternoon). After dinner we quickly walked back across the park towards home and our new party dresses. Once home, we decorated the table (my favorite part) and piled on the makeup just before guests started coming through the door. Nat's good girlfriends came from all over to celebrate her birthday in a city that isn't close to any of them. They even brought their respective boys along for her big night out. Most of us didn't know each other, only of each other, so we had a great time getting to know each other. After a few hours of posing for pictures, snacking, chatting, playing with the little Ry Guy, and drinking a few bottles of champagne, we all left for the bar.
After a good amount of searching around we decided on Time, a restaurant in midtown village that provided a pretty diverse atmosphere. Some of her friends aren't very familiar with Philly so I also wanted to choose an area that they might want to come back to! The only thing Lil Sis requested was that we go somewhere that we can dance. This bar was cool because it had a whiskey bar, jazz/wine bar, and upstairs was the Bohemian Bar with a dj and dancing. Everyone seemed to have a great time boogieing to hip hop. Here are some highlights of the end of our night :)

So nice to re-live it! Thanks again, big sis. I owe you big time!
Stop saying you owe me, especially after giving me a card and gc! By the way I spent it this morning on a dress for the wedding! Thanks xo
