Autumn Market Finds

Even though spring came and went without too many flea markets, I sure made up for it these past two months. Nothing feels quite as nice as getting a good deal and flea markets are the perfect place for that! I wrote about the Clover Market before and decided to go back not once, but twice this fall. During one of my trips I bought a vintage looking "Bloom Where You're Planted" sign from Two Paper Dolls. I chose this slogan for my business long before I got into practice, so I had to have it for my office. I also bought a basket to use as a wine bottle holder for $11 from Nanny Goat Antiques.
One of the Sundays that I visited Clover Market I also hit up a flea market in Delaware County that morning. Our first deal occurred when Bf expressed interest in a $10 chair and before we knew it, we were carrying it away for half price! I also purchased a side table for $22 (talked her down from $25, not quite as slick as Bf) that I was planning to use in my office. After getting it into my office I realized it was too large for its intended space so I took it to Bf's house for a nightstand. Less than a yard of fabric and two new knobs later, we added two pieces of furniture to his collection!

Bf has been working hard to get his place exactly the way he wants. He's lived there for a few years, but he's a boy so we'll cut him some slack. He also had bigger things to focus on, until he met me and life went back to being fun ;) But really, he got inspired with my wild decorating ideas, bought a few items at Ikea and let me loose in his living room. He was so happy with the changes that we kept going! A few gallons of paint and a hurricane weekend allowed us the time needed to update two other rooms. I'll start posting more before and afters from his house soon!

I think my recent interest in Etsy is a bit delayed, but nonetheless it is one of my favorite ways to search for vintage pieces. It will never take the place of visiting a market in the flesh but when you're stuck in the city at midnight, it will have to do! Here are some of my favorite pieces that I've come across this month.
Witches "digits" from this seller on Etsy
Still need to find the perfect place for this pendant light
Unique champagne glasses
And a beautiful antique desk
My last antiquing trip happened this afternoon when Bf and I stopped at a store outside of Media, PA. I have driven by this place countless times but they always seemed to be closed, so I was happy to check it out today. They specialize in antique china and furniture, but I thought I could find a few inexpensive pieces. Although I left empty handed, my mind was full of decorating ideas.
This is the main building that was surrounded by smaller places with signs such as "kitchen corner" and "the barn".
I wanted to take the entire kitchen home. If you collect any depression glass, you can find sets here in any color!
Wrought iron outdoor furniture for Bf's patio or side yard?
An antique bird bath placed deep into a flower bed?

Bf and I made this nice little discovery before we left. How much does one charge for an outhouse? Creepy!!
