New Year's Wishes

Happy New Year! I'm not big on resolutions because I feel like most people don't stick to them past January. So instead I thought I would share my wishes for 2012. A more simple and practical way of setting some goals with the hopes of reaching them! And the best of all - no pressure!

First on the list - travel to somewhere fabulous...it's been too long since I've been on a real vacation. I'm talking one week off, airplane tickets, with a tropical or foreign destination. I'd go back to Europe any day but I would be just as happy with a trip in a southern direction. There are so many places on my list but I have a feeling a trip this year will be taking me somewhere warm.

I hope to be making some exciting steps toward my future with Bf....it's an important year, I can just feel it!

I resolve to kick my spending habit and save more $$$. This is a secret resolution every year, but as I'm making more money its getting harder and harder to save rather than spend. But because of #2 and #3, I think I should really get serious!

Read books. I have always loved to escape into the world of fiction but unfortunately don't find myself doing this for fun as much as I'd like to. I have so much therapy literature on my list that I hardly find time to read chick lit as much as I'd like. First on my list? A new one that I got for Christmas from my favorite Philadelphia author!

Network. Network. Network. I still consider myself a newbie in the field in Philadelphia so I need to meet more pediatricians and counselors. I'd like to make a few more connections and this is a good time of year to do it. Since no one ever calls me back, I'm just going to hit the pavement and knock down some doors!

Now I realize that because I've typed these up and you've read them, I need to stick to them. And I do not like to disappointment my readers, or myself for that matter, so I'll give it my all.

What are your wishes for 2012?

As a devout reader, I best not be disappointed! Therefore, I'm going to check in with you monthly re: each goal listed in this post. ; ) As for me, I'm still working on my goals for the new year... (I have officially decided I'm shunning the New Year's holiday - goal #1, I suppose?)
